Abstract:
To provide a non-alkali glass substrate in which, under a reduced pressure atmosphere, bubbles contained in molten glass can easily be removed.SOLUTION: A non-alkali glass substrate, containing, in oxide-based mass% expression, SiO2: 54 to 66%, Al2O3: 10 to 23%, B2O3: 6 to 12%, MgO + CaO + SrO + BaO: 8 to 26%, and in which, characterized, β-OH is 0.15 to 0.5 mm-1, contained amount of Cl is 0.1 to 0.35 mass%, and bubble growth index I expressed by the following formula (1) is 280 or more. I=590.5×[β-OH] + 874.1×[Cl] - 5.7×[B2O3] - 33.3 (1). Here, in equation (1), [β-OH] indicates β-OH (mm-1) of the non-alkali glass substrate, [Cl] indicates the contained amount of Cl (mass%) in the non-alkali glass substrate, and [B2O3] indicates the contained amount of B2O3 (mass%) in the non-alkali glass substrate.SELECTED DRAWING: None
