Abstract:
To provide a walking aid that can improve recognition accuracy of periodic walking timing which is a percentage of walking cycle.SOLUTION: Using a thigh phase angle calculation means for calculating a thigh phase angle, an unnormalized hip joint angle which is obtained on the basis of an angle related signal from a thigh posture detection means is divided by a stored normalization coefficient for a hip joint angle to calculate a normalization hip joint angle. Also, by using the same, the unnormalized hip joint angular velocity which is obtained by differentiating the unnormalized hip joint angle is divided by a stored normalization coefficient for a hip joint angular velocity to calculate the normalization hip joint angular velocity. Thus, using the normalization hip joint angle and the normalization hip joint angular velocity, the thigh phase angle is calculated, in the structure of the walking aid.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
