Abstract:
To provide an artificial leather which comprises a fiber entangled body composed of ultrafine fibers and a polymeric elastomer and is excellent in durability while having a deep shade.SOLUTION: There is provided an artificial leather comprising: a fiber entangled body including a nonwoven fabric, as a component, composed of ultrafine fibers which is made of a thermoplastic resin and has an average single fiber diameter of 1.0 μm or more and 10.0 μm or less; and a polymeric elastomer. The artificial leather satisfies all of the following requirements 1 to 3. Requirement 1: The ultrafine fiber includes a black pigment. Requirement 2: The area (A) of the thermoplastic resin containing no black pigment is included in the area (B) of the thermoplastic resin containing the black pigment. Requirement 3: The ratio of the black pigment contained in the ultrafine fiber is in the range of from 0.01 mass% or more to 2.5 mass% based on the mass of the ultrafine fiber.
