Title:
BATTERY DIAGNOSING SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2020169932
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To diagnose whether a storage battery is a genuine product or a non-genuine product without using a dedicated measuring instrument.SOLUTION: A battery diagnosing system 80 comprises a voltage sensor 201 for measuring the voltage VB of a battery 10 which is mountable/removable from a vehicle 1, and a current sensor 202 for measuring a current IB inputted/outputted from the battery 10. An ECU 100 acquires the voltage VB and current IB of the battery 10 from the voltage sensor 201 and current sensor 202 multiple times while the battery 10 is being discharged, and decomposes the acquired multiple instances of voltage VB and current IB for each frequency by Fourier transform, thereby calculating a plurality of degradation parameters of the battery 10. A reference range is prescribed for each of the plurality of degradation parameters. When all of the plurality of degradation parameters fall within the reference range, the ECU 100 determines that the battery 10 is a genuine product; when at least one of the plurality of degradation parameters falls out of the reference range, the ECU 100 determines that the battery 10 is a non-genuine product.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
