Abstract:
To provide an image forming device equipped with means that can accurately detect deterioration caused by infiltration of low molecular weight components into an intermediate transfer body in a short time without depending on a worker, and to provide a manufacturing method that can accurately detect deterioration caused by infiltration of low molecular weight components into an intermediate transfer body, in a short time.SOLUTION: The image forming device according to the present invention has an intermediate transfer body that is used for transferring an ink image to a recording medium, where ink constituting the ink image contains low molecular weight components and an outermost layer of the intermediate transfer body contains resin. The device comprises means that detects a state of the low molecular weight components infiltrating into the intermediate transfer body.SELECTED DRAWING: None
