Abstract:
To provide pharmaceutical compositions for treating cancer, inflammatory disease, or the like by enhancing a regulatory T cell (Treg) suppressor function so as to decrease the inflammatory response to self proteins, or by blocking the function of Tregs or reprogramming Tregs into effector T cells capable of an inflammatory immune response to a desired target.SOLUTION: A pharmaceutical composition comprises: negatively charged particles, such as polystyrene particles, diamond particles, poly(lactide-co-glycolide) copolymers, polylactic acid polymers, and poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) copolymers, having a zeta potential of -100 mV to 0 mV; and a carrier; where the particles are free from attached peptides or antigenic moieties.SELECTED DRAWING: None
