Abstract:
To provide true random numbers without the need of operating conditions or pseudo-random algorithms.SOLUTION: An optical system 100 uses a birefringent medium 110 disposed within an optical cavity 104 to receive an input beam that is non-coherent or coherent, and produces randomization energy from the input beam by creating birefringent induced beam subdivisions for each cavity traversal. After a threshold number of beam traversals is generated, a randomized energy distribution is created.
