Abstract:
To provide a melting furnace capable of suppressing the oxidation of a molten material and improving the quality of the molten material.SOLUTION: A melting furnace 1 comprises: a melting part 2 to be fed with a metallic material; a burner 4 for melting the metallic material in the melting part 2 so as to be a melted material; a heating part 5 receiving the molten material from the melting part 2 and increasing the temperature of the molten material; a temperature control part 6 receiving the molten material from the heating part 5 and storing the molten material; a partition 7 partitioning the heating part 5 and the temperature control part 6, in which a lower edge part 70 is immersed into the molten material to form an inflow port 71 allowing the inflow of the molten material from the heating part 5 into the temperature control part 6 at the lower part of the partition 7; an immersion heater 10 heating the molten material by the immersion of at least a part of the molten material in the temperature control part 6; and a gas introduction path 72 formed at the partition 7 and introducing a combustion gas from the burner 4 into a space on the molten material in the temperature control part 6, wherein the burner 4 is controlled so that an oxygen concentration in the combustion gas reaches 5% or lower.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
