Abstract:
To provide a sampling device and a sampling method that improve a limit on the number of state variables that can be handled.SOLUTION: Each of update circuits 11a1 to 11aK has a storage unit, a state update unit, and a score update unit. The storage unit stores a coupling coefficient of each pair of a change candidate state variable and another state variable, values of a plurality of state variables, and values of a plurality of local fields. The state update unit changes, according to determination as to whether or not to change a value of the state variable by a change value of an energy value based on the local field value of the state variable of the change candidate, a temperature value, and a random value, a value of the state variable and updates a local field value of another state variable based on the coupling coefficient. The score update unit updates a score value according to the energy value and the temperature value for values of a plurality of state variables. A selection circuit 12 selects, based on a plurality of score values corresponding to the update circuits 11a1-11aK, a pair of values of a plurality of state variables held by each of a predetermined number of update circuits, and outputs a pair of values of the plurality of selected state variables.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
