Abstract:
To provide a vehicle rear side monitoring device that can prevent a driver from having difficulty in grasping the sense of distance on the rear side opposite to the steering side.SOLUTION: A vehicle rear side monitoring device 10 includes imaging means that images left and right side portions 62 and the rear side of a vehicle 60, display means that displays a captured image 50, and control means that superimposes at least one or more distance guide lines 52 corresponding to distances separated from the vehicle 60 to the left and right on the captured image 50, displays the lines on the display means, and moves the distance guide lines 52 left and right according to a steering angle θ of the vehicle 60. When the steering angle θ is larger than a threshold steering angle α in a case in which the distance guide line 52 on the opposite side to the steering side touches an image of the side portion 62 of the vehicle 60 displayed on the display means, the control means has a movement restriction mode that limits the movement of the distance guide line 52 on the opposite side to the steering side within a movement range in a case in which the steering angle θ is 0 or more and the threshold steering angle α or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
