Abstract:
To provide compositions containing components derived from turmeric as effective ingredients for suppressing TNF-α or IL-6 production.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a composition for suppressing TNF-α or IL-6 production, which composition contains at least one selected from turmeronol A, turmeronol B and bisacurone as an active ingredient. The composition for suppressing TNF-α or IL-6 production may contain turmeronol A and turmeronol B in a total amount of 20 μg or more per daily intake, where the turmeronol A is in an amount of 17 μg or more per daily intake, turmeronol B in an amount of 5 μg or more per daily intake, and bisacurone in an amount of 80 μg or more per daily intake.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
