Abstract:
To provide a washing machine which enables the time required for breaking of an electric motor to shorten and is easy for a user to use.SOLUTION: A washing machine includes a washing/dehydrating tub 23 for storing laundry, a stirring blade 24 provided in the washing/dehydrating tub 23, a control part 31 for controlling the washing machine, and transmission means 35 for transmitting power from an electric motor 30 to the washing/dehydrating tub 23 and the stirring blade 24. The transmission means 35 has deceleration means 36 provided between the washing/dehydrating tub 23 and the stirring blade 24, and a clutch spring 37 for disabling the deceleration means 36. The control part 31 causes the electric motor 30 to generate a negative output torque lower than an upper limit of a torque transmittable by the clutch spring 37 during a braking period of the washing/dehydrating tub 23, and proceeds to the subsequent step after the breaking period which varies depending on a load within the washing/dehydrating tub 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
