Abstract:
To provide an image decoding device that sets a condition on a distance between a reference frame and a frame in an application condition of BDOF according to a weight for a pixel value of each reference frame in a calculation in BDOF processing.SOLUTION: An inter prediction unit 241 of the image decoding device includes a prediction signal generation unit 241D for determining whether the conditions for applying BDOF processing are satisfied for each block and generating a prediction signal by performing BDOF processing if it is determined that the applicable conditions are satisfied and including a condition regarding a temporal distance between two reference frames and the frame in question in the applicable condition based on weight coefficients when calculating by using pixel values of two reference frames or values calculated from the pixel values in BDOF processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15
