Abstract:
To provide an acoustic coupling material that can be easily fitted to a probe for use in intraoral inspection.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a gelatinous acoustic coupling material that can be fitted to a probe for use in intraoral inspection, the probe having a sensor part including an ultrasonic oscillator provided at its tip. The acoustic coupling material comprises a polymer material comprising agar or agarose and has a hollow part that can store the sensor part, and an opening for allowing the sensor part to be inserted into the hollow part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
