To provide a negative electrode plate that can suppress a decrease in the thickness of an ear portion.SOLUTION: A negative electrode plate 2 for a lead-acid battery includes a negative electrode current collector having an ear portion and a negative electrode material supported on the negative electrode current collector. The ear portion has a surface layer containing a lead alloy containing Sn.
