Abstract:
To provide a new kimono that hardly exposes a wearer's feet.SOLUTION: A kimono includes a front body with inner pleats having an overlapping margin overlapped so that its width is narrow on flank sides and is widened toward a front collar side, which makes the kimono have a shape suitably conforming to a body silhouette of a person who wears the kimono. By creating the front body so as to widen toward a hem, fabric area for a lower half of body can be secured and a foot-movable range can be extended. Thereby, the wearer's feet are hardly exposed. By sewing the inner pleats in a lump after completing vertical sewing of a back, flanks, and a front collar, and a finish of fabric edges, height adjustment is simplified more than before.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
