Abstract:
To provide a preform heating method capable of partially stably suppressing the heating of a preform for partially suppressing the thinning of a plastic bottle container.SOLUTION: A preform heating method has a process where, for subjecting a plastic bottle container to drawing blow molding from a preform 1 with a bottomed cylindrical shape formed by a thermoplastic resin, the preform 1 is heated with radiation heat from the outside. The preform 1 comprises a port part 10 as a part not stretched in the molding step of subjecting the plastic bottle container to drawing blow molding, a barrel part 11 and a bottom part 12 as the parts subjected to drawing in the molding step, and the preform 1 is heated in a state where a barrel part inserting part 23 as a radiation heat shield body composing a part of a preform mandrel 2 is arranged so as to be separated from an inner circumferential face 11a of the barrel part 11 at the inside of the barrel part 11 at the part inner than the port part 10 of the preform 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
