Abstract:
To provide a method of manufacturing a web that reduces the rupture of a traveling web and increases the stability of a process.SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a web includes a process to smooth wrinkles (a wrinkle smoothing process) where both ends of the traveling web in the width direction are sandwiched by a pair of guide rolls for smoothing. The guide rolls that form the pair of guide rolls are both rotatable and rotate toward the outside of the web surface and move parallelly to the width direction. The angle of the rotational axis made by the pair of guide rolls is 4° or more and 21° or less, and one guide roll that forms the pair of guide rolls has a self-aligning function.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
