To provide a support device capable of setting or determining a bearing force to act in a simple and reliable method.SOLUTION: A support device 3 for supporting a load body has a lower constituting part 4 and a center constituting part that can be adjusted in a vertical direction V with respect to the lower constitution part. The lower constituting part 4 cooperates with a first bearing area B1 to relieve a bearing force FK which can be introduced into the center constituting part from the load body 1 via a second bearing area B2. At this time, the bearing force FK which can be introduced into the center constituting part is transmittable to the lower constituting part 4 via load elements 9, 10a and 10b and/or adjustment elements 13 and 16 in the vertical direction V.
