Abstract:
To provide a steering apparatus that enables a steering wheel to turn even in a situation where a turning unit cannot receive steering information from a steering unit.SOLUTION: A steering apparatus 1 has a structure in which power transmission between a steering unit 3 and a turning unit 5 for turning a steering wheel 4 in accordance with steering input to the steering unit 3 is separated. The steering unit 3 outputs, to the turning unit 5, steering information that is information about steering input to the steering unit 3. A steering-side control unit 60 of the turning unit 5 turns the steering wheel 4 on the basis of the steering information received at a normal time. To the steering-side control unit 60 of the turning unit 5, a direction indicator 45 as an input interface is connected such that operation information that is information about an operation for turning the steering wheel 4 in the event of anomaly is enabled to be input to the turning unit 5 from a configuration different from the steering unit 3. The steering-side control unit 60 of the turning unit 5 turns the steering wheel 4 on the basis of the operation input output from the direction indicator 45 in the event of anomaly.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
