Abstract:
To provide a polymer composite material having excellent flexibility, toughness and hardness, in which a cellulose material can be effectively used, and a production method of the polymer composite material.SOLUTION: The polymer composite material of the present invention comprises a cellulose material and a polymer having a host group and a guest group. The host group is a monovalent group obtained by removing one hydrogen atom or hydroxyl group from cyclodextrin or a cyclodextrin derivative, and the guest group is a monovalent group capable of penetrating the host group in a skewer form. The polymer contains a structural unit having the host group in a side chain, a structural unit having the guest group in a side chain, and a third structural unit having neither the host group nor the guest group. The cellulose material is at least either cellulose or a cellulose derivative, and the cellulose material forms a hydrogen bond with at least a side chain of the polymer.SELECTED DRAWING: None
