Abstract:
To improve transmissivity of a monochromatic liquid crystal panel used in a light source device.SOLUTION: A light source device of a display device includes a planar light source and a monochromatic liquid crystal panel. The monochromatic liquid crystal panel includes a plurality of pixel electrodes 406A, 406B, and 406C. In the plurality of pixel electrodes, the adjacent pixel electrodes partially overlap with each other in pixel regions 400A, 400B, and 400C. The monochromatic liquid crystal panel includes a single region including a part of one pixel electrode in the pixel electrodes and excluding other pixel electrodes, and an overlap region including parts of the adjacent pixel electrodes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4A
