Abstract:
To provide a method for producing free monosaccharide (e.g., L-fucose) by using a microorganism fermentation method.SOLUTION: A method for producing free L-fucose by using a recombinant microorganism, in which the recombinant microorganism is an Escherichia coil strain, and which includes: a) a process of preparing recombinant microorganism for synthesizing L-fucose; b) a process of culturing the recombinant microorganism on a culture medium suitable for propagating the microorganism; and c) a process of recovering free L-fucose from the culture medium.SELECTED DRAWING: None
