Abstract:
To provide an improved system to read bar codes when transporting dishes.SOLUTION: A device for transporting a plurality of dishes on which machine readable labels are attached includes: a transport belt transporting at least one dish in the device; a bumper stopper stopping the dish without stopping the transport belt upon contacting the dish; a rotator having a disk and a shaft and rotating the dish when the dish contacts the rotator by being energized with the bumper stopper; a first pulley wheel connected to the shaft; and a reader, wherein the transport belt is configured to make the shaft rotate the disk by advancing the dish and rotating the first pulley wheel, and the reader reads the machine readable labels in a state of continuous motion of the transport belt.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
