Abstract:
To provide a technology for the suppression of noise in an electric automobile which achieves both the suppression of the noise and the suppression of heat generation in a switching element without making a child feel discomfort due to the noise.SOLUTION: An electric automobile disclosed in the present specification includes an inverter, an occupant determiner, and a controller. The inverter converts DC power into AC power for driving a motor for traveling by the operation of a switching element. The occupant determiner determines whether an occupant or occupants are present and whether a child is included in the occupant. The controller can adjust the operation frequency of the switching element. When the occupant determiner determines that no occupant is present, the controller sets a first frequency as the operation frequency. When the occupant determiner determines that the occupant or occupants are present, but no child is included, the controller sets a second frequency higher than the first frequency. When the occupant determiner determines that a child is included in the occupant, the controller sets a third frequency higher than the second frequency.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
