Abstract:
To make it possible to smoothly use a function of an image forming device which has been used so far, even when firmware for renewing is installed therein.SOLUTION: An image forming device comprises: a job control part that executes a job on the basis of firmware installed in the device; a history information management part that records, on a history information memorizing part Ar11, history information including a function of the image forming device used according to the execution of the job; a firmware presence/absence determination part for renewing that inquires a firmware management server for presence of a firmware for renewing; a renewing condition satisfaction determination part that determines whether or not a renewing condition for renewing the firmware is satisfied, when determining the presence of the firmware for renewing; and a firmware renewing processing part that renews the firmware when the renewing condition is satisfied. A function of the image forming device which has been used so far can be used smoothly.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
