Abstract:
To provide a radio communication device with reduced power consumption in reduced size.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, a receiving unit comprises a first antenna and a second antenna that individually capture digital modulation signals at different positions to generate a first signal and a second signal. The receiving unit further comprises a first variable gain amplifier and a second variable gain amplifier, a first A/D converter and a second A/D converter, a first digital amplifier and a second digital amplifier, a composition unit, and a processor. The first variable gain amplifier and the second variable gain amplifier individually control the reception gain of the first signal and the reception gain of the second signal. The first A/D converter and the second A/D converter digitally convert the gain-controlled first signal and the gain-controlled second signal into a first digital signal and a second digital signal. The first digital amplifier and the second digital amplifier digitally adjust the gain of the first digital signal and the gain of the second digital signal. The composition unit composes the gain-controlled first digital signal and the gain-controlled second digital signal to generate a composite signal. The processor resolves imbalance in gain between a system from the first antenna up to the composition unit and a system from the second antenna up to the composition unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
