Abstract:
To suppress the growth of bacteria while suppressing the deterioration of quality of food.SOLUTION: The present disclosure provides a light irradiation device that irradiates food with light, the light irradiation device having: a light-emitting diode that emits ultraviolet light, which is light with a wavelength in the ultraviolet region, with which the food is to be irradiated; a support mechanism that supports the light-emitting diode; temperature grasping means that grasps the temperature of the food; and control means that controls lighting up of the light-emitting diode. The control means starts the lighting up of the light-emitting diode if the temperature grasped by the temperature grasping means becomes lower than a predetermined temperature or the temperature grasped by the temperature grasping means becomes higher than the predetermined temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
