Abstract:
To provide an atrial fibrillation detection system that calculates an extent of irregularity of a measured pulsation interval itself and reduces detection of a false positive without excluding extrasystole even when there occurs extrasystole, thereby providing a reliable determination result.SOLUTION: An atrial fibrillation detection system includes: pulsation interval measurement means 4 for measuring a pulsation interval of a heart; pulsation interval conversion means 8 for converting an extent of a change in the pulsation interval R obtained by the pulsation interval measurement means 4 to an almost constant level by a predetermined function; entropy calculation means 9 for calculating an entropy S from a pulsation interval image r converted by the pulsation interval conversion means 8; and comparison and determination means 10 for comparing the entropy S calculated by the entropy calculation means 9 to a predetermined threshold, and if the entropy S is larger than the threshold, determining that atrial fibrillation is occurring.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
