Abstract:
To enable a hybrid vehicle to travel even with communication trouble between two ECUs.SOLUTION: A vehicle 100, which is a hybrid vehicle, comprises a battery ECU 40 and an HVECU 90. The battery ECU 40 calculates allowable charging capacity and allowable discharging capacity of the battery 10 and outputs a calculation result. The HVECU 90 controls an engine 63 and a PCU 50 in accordance with the allowable charging capacity and the allowable discharging capacity calculated with the battery ECU 40. The HVECU 90 has a normal mode in which an SMR 30 is closed and the battery 10 is electrically connected to the PCU 50 and a battery-less travel mode in which the vehicle 100 travels with the SMR 30 opened and the battery 10 electrically disconnected from the PCU 50. The HVECU 90 selects the battery-less travel mode when at least either an amount of the allowable charging capacity or an amount of the allowable discharging capacity is less than a predetermined value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
