Abstract:
To provide an information processing device that can output information for use in emergency notification, more properly, and a control method of an information processing device.SOLUTION: An information processing device (a navigation device 218) provided in a vehicle, comprises: a position obtaining unit that obtains a position of the vehicle; a communication equipment detecting unit 291 that detects communication equipment that can be utilized in communication with an emergency notification destination during travelling of the vehicle, on the basis of information on a circumference of the vehicle; a communication equipment-information memorizing unit 84 that memorizes the position obtained by the position obtaining unit, associating the position with the communication equipment detected by the communication equipment detecting unit; an emergency notification-request obtaining unit 74 that obtains an emergency notification-request made in the vehicle; a communication-impossibility determining unit 80 that determines whether the communication with the emergency notification is impossible or not; and an information display control unit 82 that when the communication with the emergency notification destination is impossible when the emergency notification- request is obtained by the emergency notification-request obtaining unit, makes a display part display the position of the communication equipment memorized in the communication equipment information memorizing unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15
