Abstract:
To make it possible to retract a unit which includes a roller pair and corrects a skew and to continue printing without using the unit.SOLUTION: A sheet carrier device includes a resistless unit, a retraction mechanism, and a control circuit. The resistless unit includes a resistless roller pair and a skew correction mechanism. The resistless unit sends a sheet to a drawing position without stopping the carried sheet. The retraction mechanism moves the resistless unit from an entry position to a non-entry position. The entry position is a position where the carried sheet enters the resistless roller pair. The non-entry position is a position where the carried sheet moves toward the drawing position not through the resistless roller pair.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
