Abstract:
To provide a method that can adjust a position of an outer peripheral roller cutter with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A plurality of roller cutters 2 provided in a cutter head 1 of a tunnel excavator include a plurality of center side roller cutters 31-40 defining a central flat surface and a plurality of outer peripheral side roller cutters 41-53 defining an outer peripheral curved surface. Central shafts of the outer peripheral side roller cutters 41-53 are supported by a mounting seat 6 via a pair of rotary rings. The rotary ring is replaced for some or all of the outer peripheral roller cutters 41-53 so that when the tunnel excavator excavates in a curved manner, the outer diameter of the outer peripheral curved surface is widened as compared with the case where the tunnel excavator excavates straight.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
