Abstract:
To provide a processing line that applies an inorganic protective coating to a metal surface to prevent the oxidation and degradation of the metal.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a processing line for a processing a metal substrate, including a conversion composition that contains trivalent chromium cations in an amount of 0.001 g/L to 20 g/L, and a sealing composition comprising lithium cations and having a pH of 9.5-12.5. The lithium cations are present in the sealing composition in an amount of 5-5500 ppm based on total weight of the sealing composition. The treatment includes bringing the metal substrate into contact with the conversion composition and the sealing composition, spraying the metal substrate therewith, and/or immersing the metal substrate therein.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
