Abstract:
To provide a printing device that can easily adjust force for pushing a platen toward a head depending on a printing medium.SOLUTION: A printing device comprises: a head that performs printing on a printing medium by making a plurality of pins protrude; a carriage that moves while being loaded with the head; a roller that is mounted on the carriage and can contact the printing medium; a platen, provided in a position opposing to the head, which can move in a direction in which the platen approaches the head and in a direction in which the platen gets away from the head respectively; and a pushing force mechanism that pushes the platen toward the head. The pushing force mechanism has an elastic part that pushes the platen toward the head by elastic force, and a moving part that moves the elastic part in a direction in which elastic force of the elastic part is strengthened and in a direction in which the elastic force of the elastic part is weakened respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
