Abstract:
To solve the problem in which: even if a user brings a portable terminal close to a printer when the Wi-Fi setting is an invalid setting, radio communication between the portable terminal and an external device is not established because the Wi-Fi setting is the invalid setting.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus can execute first radio communication and second radio communication different from the first radio communication, and the information processing apparatus acquires connection information for executing the first radio communication from an external device by using the second radio communication, on condition that the apparatus acquires the connection information, changes the setting related to the first radio communication from an invalid setting indicating that the apparatus does not execute the first radio communication to an effective setting indicating that the apparatus executes the first radio communication, and based on the acquired connection information, executes data communication between the information processing apparatus and the external device by using the first radio communication. On condition that the information processing apparatus does not receive a user operation for a predetermined time after the completion of the data communication, the apparatus changes the setting related to the first radio communication from the effective setting to the invalid setting.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
