Abstract:
To remove rain drops on a lens surface as needed.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus for a vehicle includes: a base; a camera attached to the base; a lens holder attached to the base as well as being capable of rotating against the base; a transparent lens attached to the lens holder as well as arranged facing the camera; and a driving unit connected to the lens holder and rotating and driving the lens holder against the base. The imaging apparatus for the vehicle blows away raindrops on the transparent lens by centrifugal force of rotation of the transparent lens, maintains excellent shielding effect on the transparent lens surface, is capable of improving reliability of clear focusing of the camera, removes raindrops on the surface of the transparent lens during driving as needed, and reducing risk in driving safety.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
