Abstract:
To improve communication stability in a communication system in which a plurality of communication modules are available.SOLUTION: A communication device is provided which can communicate with a public communication network by using either an in-vehicle communication module permanently installed in a vehicle or one or more external communication modules which are communication modules not permanently installed in the vehicle. The communication device includes: a storage unit that stores a selection table in which criteria for selecting a communication module to be used for communication are recorded; and a control unit that evaluates the plurality of the communication modules, acquires the evaluation result, and selects a communication module to be used for communication on the basis of the evaluation result and the selection table.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
