Abstract:
To provide an image formation device that includes means for switching whether to execute inspection processing and strikes a balance between improvement in inspection accuracy on a printing job for which an inspection is performed and improvement in throughput of a printing job for which an inspection is not performed.SOLUTION: An image formation device includes: printing means; transportation means for transporting a sheet on which an image is printed; reading means for reading the image on the sheet that is transported from the printing means; inspection means for executing inspection processing for inspecting if there is any printing failure on the basis of image data acquired by the reading means that reads the image; paper discharge means including multiple discharge trays to which a sheet that is subjected to the inspection processing and not determined as a print failure, a sheet that is subjected to the inspection processing and determined as a print failure and a sheet that is not subjected to the inspection processing are discharged; and control means for controlling transportation speed of the transportation means so that the transportation speed of a sheet on a printing job of not executing the inspection processing is higher than the transportation speed of a sheet on a printing job of executing the inspection processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
