Abstract:
To provide a controller of an automatic transmission capable of coping with switching of a shift range during preparatory processing.SOLUTION: When a shift range is switched to a reverse range while a two-way clutch is in a one-way state, after switching to a locked state in preparatory processing of stopping an input shaft and the like, the engagement of an engaging mechanism supporting the reverse range is started. When the shift range is switched from the reverse range to a forward range during the preparatory processing, control means performs engagement control in different procedures depending on the progress of the preparatory processing, to establish a predetermined forward shift stage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
