Abstract:
To provide a method for controlling the floating position of a sample in the experimental space of an electrostatic floating furnace, even in the case the inversion of charging polarities is generated during heating, capable of securely continuing the floating of a sample in the vicinity of a target position.SOLUTION: A method for controlling the floating position of a sample in the experimental space of an electrostatic floating furnace comprises a process where: images obtained by filming a sample floating in the experimental space from two directions are continuously acquired at prescribed time intervals; the images are analyzed to calculate the position of the sample; based on the position, a required movement process in which the sample should move for reaching a floating target position, and the speed and acceleration of the sample are calculated; and, in mutually orthogonal three-axis directions, regarding the direction in which mismatch among the code of the required movement process, the code of the speed and the code of the acceleration is detected, the polarities of the voltage to be applied to an electrode pair arranged so as to be mutually confronted are inverted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
