Abstract:
To provide a treatment agent having a novel action mechanism with respect to ATL and HTLV-1 related disease.SOLUTION: Inventors of the invention have found a fact that, an HIV integrase inhibitor MK-2048 promotes activity of an endoplasmic reticulum stress (PERK path) selectively, with respect to HTLV-1 infected cells, and induces apoptosis. On the basis of the result, using MK-2048 of the invention, the inventors have found that, a treatment agent having a novel action mechanism with respect to ATL and HTLV-1 related disease, can be provided. In addition, the MK-2048 of the invention is a novel endoplasmic reticulum stress targeting therapy agent with respect to ATL, so that, it is possible to provide a combined treatment agent with an anti HTLV-1 agent having other action mechanism, by expectation of a synergic effect.SELECTED DRAWING: None
