Abstract:
To provide a printer capable of decreasing downtime while suppressing degradation of image quality even when an error occurs to data defining an ink discharge quantity, and a printing method.SOLUTION: A head control part 22 determines whether or not there is an error in a data block defining a one-time discharge quantity of ink intermittently discharged by a nozzle group grouping a plurality of nozzles an ink discharge head 20 is provided with. When a first impact range where ink discharged by the nozzle group on the basis of a first data block that is determined to have an error can impact and a second impact range where the ink discharged by the nozzle group on the basis of a second data block determined to have an error can impact are separate, the ink is discharged from the corresponding nozzle group on the basis of the first and the second data blocks. On the other hand, when the first impact range and the second impact range overlap or are in contact, error processing is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
