Abstract:
To provide a recording device that smoothly performs an adjustment of a gap between a recording head and a support surface.SOLUTION: The recording device comprises gap adjustment means 94 that adjusts in a vertical direction a gap between a recording head 10 and a support surface 17 that supports a medium P. The gap adjustment means 94 makes a carriage 20 engage with a cam member having a sliding member 114 and step-wise parts 138 arranged alternately in a width direction to interpose between the carriage and the member, so as to adjust the gap. The gap adjustment means 94 has coil springs 150 that energize the sliding member 114, in the opposite direction of a carrying direction, against the carriage 20, and slidably contact members 115 are provided at tips of the coil springs 150.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
