Abstract:
To provide a composite type insulator and conductor assembly for a bearing which has an adjustable conductor.SOLUTION: A composite type insulator and conductor assembly includes an annular insulator which may be arranged around a bearing outer ring and is configured to prevent electric current flow between the outer ring and a housing, the annular insulator including protruding parts which extend along a center line in an axial direction and are disposed around the center line spaced apart from each other in a circumferential direction. A conductor includes a conductive disc having an outer radial end part which may engage with a housing inner surface, an inner radial end part defining a center opening for receiving a shaft, and openings which respectively receive the protruding parts of the insulator. The disc may be displaced relative to the insulator in the axial direction. An annular conductive brush sub assembly is coupled to the conductive disc and includes electric conductive fibers which may contact with a shaft outer surface so as to provide a conductive path between the shaft and the disc.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
