Abstract:
To provide an image processing apparatus configured to execute Panoptic segmentation on an image with a smaller load than before.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes an arithmetic processing unit which performs classification of pixels included in an image and identification of an instance, by inputting the image to a discriminator that performs classification of pixels included in the image into classes indicating types of objects corresponding to the pixels and identification of the instance indicating each of the objects corresponding to the pixels, out of one or more objects corresponding to the classes to which the pixels are classified, through one-stage arithmetic operation. The discriminator is trained so that feature vectors representing features of pixels belonging to the same class are close to each other and feature vectors of pixels belonging to different classes are separated from each other, and is trained so that the feature vectors of pixels identified as the same instance are close to each other and feature vectors of pixels identified as different instances are separated from each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
