To provide: a composition for forming a cured layer capable of achieving both hardness and repeated bending resistance; a laminate containing a cured layer obtained by curing the composition for forming a cured layer; a method for producing the laminate; and an article, an image display device and a flexible display comprising the laminate.SOLUTION: There are provided: a composition for forming a cured layer comprising a polyorganosilsesquioxane having a constitutional unit having a group containing an epoxy group and a polymerization initiator, wherein the fluoride ion affinity of the polymerization initiator is 350 kJ/mol or more and the weight average molecular weight of the polyorganosilsesquioxane is 3500 or more; a laminate containing a cured layer obtained by curing the composition for forming a cured layer; a method for producing the laminate; and an article, an image display device and a flexible display comprising the laminate.SELECTED DRAWING: None
