Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the damage or trouble of an ink sheet cassette or line thermal head, by preventing the revolution of a cassette engaging lever at a position other than a position where the ink sheet cassette is made detachable by the cassette taking-out preventing member operated in conjunction with a head transfer member. CONSTITUTION:In order to prescribe the engaging position of an ink sheet cassette 11, the ink sheet cassette 11 is energized in the direction shown by an arrow B by a leaf spring 13 to be fixed to a cassette guide 12 at a predetermined position. When a line thermal head 18 is present at a position where thermal printing is possible or the ink sheet cassette 11 is present at a position other than a detachable position, a cassette taking-out preventing member 20 is operated in connection with a head transfer member 19 to prevent the revolution of the cassette engaging lever 16. When the ink sheet cassette 11 is present at the detachable position, the cassette taking-out preventing member 20 moves over a predetermined distance corresponding to the rotation of the head transfer member 19 and the left end 24 thereof is not brought to a positional state brought into engagement or contact with the cassette engaging lever 16 and the revolution of the cassette engaging lever 16 is not prevented.
