Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the operation efficiency of funds to prevent trouble by providing a means, which corrects skew of paper moneys other than paper moneys whose extent of skew is a standard value, following a paper money discriminating mechanism. CONSTITUTION:Paper moneys inserted by a customer are separated and carried one by one and are taken into a money reception and payment part and reach the entrance of a discriminating mechanism 3, and the extent of skew and the extent of shift are detected by a skew/shift detecting sensor 11. When the extent of shift is discriminated to be abnormal, paper moneys are rejected; and three patterns of standard, right turning, and left turning are discriminated in accordance with extents of inclination of paper moneys with respect to skew. Paper moneys are discriminated in accordance with algorithms based on three patterns A-C by a true/false paper money discriminating sensor 12 and a correct/ damaged paper money discriminating sensor 13. Thus, even right turning and left turning paper moneys other than standard paper moneys are discriminated. True paper moneys and correct paper moneys after discrimination are sent to a switching gate 16 and are operated as normal paper moneys after skew correction, thus improving the operation efficiency of funds.
