Abstract:
PURPOSE:To always form load of almost pure resistance alone by setting power source frequency of an inverter corresponding to the welding speed by a frequency setting part and allowing the power source frequency of the inverter to coincide with series resonance frequency of the load. CONSTITUTION:A DC power source part 9 capable of controlling output by a control signal supplied from the exterior and the inverter 10 to convert the output of said DC power source part 9 into AC and capable of controlling the frequency of the output by a control signal supplied from the exterior are provided. A transformer 4 to supply the output of said inverter 10 to the primary side and the frequency setting part LC having a coil 11 and a capacitor 3 which are interposed in series respectively between the primary side of the transformer 4 and output ends Ta and Tb of the inverter 10 and change inductance or capacitance variably is provided. In addition, a tuning circuit 14 to coincide the frequency of the output of the inverter 10 with the load resonance frequency determined by the coil 11 or the capacitor 3 is provided. By this method, reactive power is reduced and a sine-wave output current desirable for welding is obtained.
